I mean when we have guests the wife and I tend to be quieter, not because we’re ashamed or anything, but just because it’s a private thing for us. The thought of my bro doing anything skeeves me out, so I wouldn’t want to hear it. /devil’s advocate

If my brother or sister were in the house, I would be quiet (we usually are). I am also skeeved out by hearing my bro and his gf go at it. But I deal, and I put my headphones in and let them be.

But my step-sisters I’ve only known for a year. My step-dad and mother have gone away for 2 weeks, and they pissed off to their boyfriends’ houses, leaving me with their pets to look after on my own. They don’t really even live here. They’re here about once a week, and we thought they’d gone out for the day. It was only until I’d seen the tweet that we realized they were in the house. I don’t even think we were being that particularly loud, but apparently they could hear us.

Musing on what my step-sis tweeted is giving me pause. I honestly think part of the reason she was so grossed out was because a) we’re queer, and b) the bed was squeaking like it would in “straight sex”.

When we got changed after our shower (which involved singing about little ducks with yellow socks and shoes on which was completely adorable) and went into the kitchen to get coffee we were completely ignored. I asked my stepsisters questions, and they blanked me, so K and I had to go sit in the other room because it was so uncomfortable.

I’m also confused as to why someone having sex while others are in the house (bear in mind I have had this house to myself for the past 10 days and only last night did they all choose to come back) means having no self respect. They knew K was coming over. They knew it was going to be a night in for us. And I think I have more self respect by not really giving a damn that they could hear it. I was making a woman I love very much very happy and that freaked them out. ~~also I fuck like a champ uhuhuh~~

Sex does not = dirt. It is not shameful, it is just sex. And I think I have tons of self respect for enjoying my sexuality in my own home rather than hiding away.
