I made a frustrated statement on FB about how straight people will never understand that as long as homophobia/transphobia/all the “phobias” are around and as long as we live in a heterocentric society, LGBTQ people can never live their lives the same way straight people can. 

Everybody is now going “can’t they? why can’t they?” 

I’m writing my own reasons, but I’d love to hear from you guys. 

In UK, what makes you feel different to straight people when it comes to everyday life? 

A new fight for the future of our NHS has just begun. Jeremy Hunt is trying to use new powers, hidden within last year’s controversial NHS laws, to force local GPs to privatise more health services.

We know how important the NHS is to all of British society. And we know that when private health companies move in, too often it doesn’t end well for patients. One of the reasons so many people opposed the NHS law last year was because we were worried it would pave the way to this kind of enforced privatisation. Now we need to do all we can to stop that happening.

We’ve got a chance, because Jeremy Hunt is breaking specific promises given when the NHS laws were voted through last year. If we can generate enough public outcry - and put enough pressure on the politicians who clung to these promises last time round - we have a decent hope of stopping them.

We need 35k signatures and currently have 31k. TUMBLR YOU CAN HELP US KEEP OUR HEALTHCARE!

HELLO! Yes, yes! The meet is still taking place in Birmingham, 14-17th March.

There’s about 5 of us at the moment but I’d LOVE it if anybody else wants to come along so you are most welcome. Also this goes to anybody else who wants to meet some Warehouse 13 nutters. If so, get in touch. 

National Express are doing some amazing deals on coaches at the moment so it won’t be an expensive weekend at all. You’ll be fed and watered and alcohol’d should you want to be.

So way back when and I’m talking yeaaars, some of us crazy Xenites used to go and stay all around Europe, watch Xena, eat crap, get a little tipsy and sight-see wherever we were. 

And it was frigging epic. 

So I was thinking, I have a huge house, lots of insane technology for watching stuff on and quite a bit of free time on my hands. 

Would anybody be interested in a Warehouse 13 meet up? I’m in Birmingham, England. It’s pretty easy to get to from the rest of UK, great airports and plenty to see… and I live down the road from Cadbury World and Factory.
